Livity Sound is celebrating its ten year anniversary with a new compilation.
Tribal Brothers and DJ Polo have teamed up for a new EP on Livity Sound.
‘The Link Up’ finds the longstaning London duo of LR Groove and Razzler Man joining forces with Bristol’s DJ Polo on four tracks of future-facing UK funky. The trio weave percussive sounds from around the world like gqom, kuduro and afro house into their dancefloor-focussed formula. You can hear the track, ‘Three Tribes’, from the EP below.
‘The Link Up’ will be released on 30th April. Pre-order it here.
Ido Plumes will release his new EP ‘Away From The Reign’ via Livity Sound this Friday 1st May.
The Bristol native steps up on Peverelist’s consistently cutting edge label with three cuts that push the frontiers of UK techno, with distinctive nods being given to the bass-weight and soundsystem culture that his hometown is known for.
‘Which Way Is Up’ opens with a rippling water sample, before diving deeper with a bubbling rhythm and depth-charge bass eruptions. A moody, addictive cut that you’ll feel vibrating across your chest. Check it out below.
Summer flew by faster than Boris Johnson’s parliamentary majority, but that’s no bad thing. Britain's busiest club night season is here, and it's looking good.
Ever-reliable Bristol label Livity Sound will release Toma Kami’s new EP ‘Negative Extasy’ this Friday 28th June.
The label’s first release of 2019 – following superb outings from Laurel Halo & Hodge, Facta, Cando, Forest Drive West and more last year – ‘Negative Extasy’ finds Toma Kami on particularly percussive form, bouncing from sharp, dubby trips to the headier hard-drum energy of the title track.
Kowton has announced the release of his debut album, ‘Utility’.
The nine-track album, his first after seven years of producing music, will be released on Livity Sound. Kowton previously appeared on 2013’s ‘Livity Sound’ compilation and has released a number of singles together with Pev on the Bristol-based label.
London club Phonox have announced their line-up for the second quarter of 2016.
