Online streaming platform, Mixcloud, is home to a huge variety of radio shows, DJ sets and live recordings from across the globe. As we approach the end of the year, we dug through their archives to bring you five of the most streamed dance music shows of 2016. Dig in!

WETALKMUSIC EP1 - BONOBO & HUNDRED WATERS

The first episode of music & talk show, WeTalk Music, features conversations with downtempo electronic star Bonobo and Florida-based fourtet, Hundred Waters, along with an eclectic showcase of their musical influences and inspirations.

When Simon Dunmore left his major label A&R job with AM:PM, the dance offshoot of A&M Records, to start his own independent dance label, even he couldn’t have imagined the success he’d go on to have. Defected Records is probably the most successful UK dance label of the past two decades, and has expanded into running events, managing artists and also running a DJ agency as well.

December hasn't even arrived yet, but already Defected is primed to rule the 2017 festival season. The renowned house label has announced a huge bill for its Defected Croatia event, topped by UK dons MK and Eats Everything.

Taking over The Garden Resort, Tisno from Thursday 10th to Tuesday 15th August, Defected has recruited the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Julio Bashmore, Soul Clap, Riva Starr, Sam Divine, Joey Negro and Sonny Fodera for "six days of house hedonism".

Covering the full spectrum of quality house music, from deep grooves to heavyweight slammers, Defected are back with another instalment of their 'For The Love Of House' compilation. 

Featuring tracks and remixes from Masters At Work, Armand Van Helden, Erick Morillo, Dennis Ferrer, Laurent Garnier and many more, the packet features two exclusive DJ mixes, plus 30 full-length, unmixed house classics, and is set to drop on 19th August via the UK label. 

The Glitterbox dancefloor is a special place. Soaked in sequins, soundtracked by the classics and dotted with drag queens, it’s one of the White Isle’s most glamorous nights. 

Defected has today announced that they won’t be returning to Ibiza for their 15th season this summer - choosing instead to focus on Glitterbox and a new venture Defected Croatia. 

The seminal house imprint has taken the difficult decision to instead focus on a new venture, Defected Croatia 2016, which is billed as "five days of house music" taking place at the stunning Garden Resort in Tisno, Croatia. 

Defected have fully welcomed Sonny Fodera into the fold in recent times, having just released the Yasmin-featuring banger ‘Feeling U’ and more planned for 2016.

The Australian DJ, who played our Christmas party this year, is now making his debut entry into Defected’s acclaimed In The House series. 

Set for release on 29th January, the three-disc collection is littered with Sonny originals, from remixes to exclusive edits to unheard tracks from his much anticipated second album.

Milan’s dynamic duo has done it again. Flashmob returns with a debut release on their own eponymous label. The house cut titled ‘Don’t Leave’ features Lowheads and has solidified its spot in sets for heavy hitters across the board. Danny and Alessandro combine an incredible work ethic and creative talent in equal measure with results that speak for themselves.
