Rinse FM is launching a new event series, that will also include documentaries and vinyl compilations, celebrating UK electronic music culture.
The 'I Love' series will focus on various forms of UK music that Rinse has championed over the course of its time on the air, with an event taking place dedicated to each highlighted genre.
The first, I Love: Funky, will focus on UK funky and take place at London's Ministry Of Sound on 9th October. Future events in 2022 will focus on grime, dubstep, drum & bass, jungle and more.
Tribal Brothers and DJ Polo have teamed up for a new EP on Livity Sound.
‘The Link Up’ finds the longstaning London duo of LR Groove and Razzler Man joining forces with Bristol’s DJ Polo on four tracks of future-facing UK funky. The trio weave percussive sounds from around the world like gqom, kuduro and afro house into their dancefloor-focussed formula. You can hear the track, ‘Three Tribes’, from the EP below.
‘The Link Up’ will be released on 30th April. Pre-order it here.
Zed Bias joins forces with SNØW this Friday (17th March) to drop a new four-tracker titled '24/7', and we've secured an exclusive premiere of EP killer '2CB' — oh you lucky things!
'24/7' will be the inaugural release of More Time Records, a new label helmed by Boiler Room’s Ahadadream and SNØW, the new alias of a well-established UK producer (the more keen-eyed of you may recognise him from the picture above).
Redlight is back with his follow-up to the highly successful '9TS'. 'Gold Teeth' is on a similar tip with another addictive female hook, and a weighty bassline to boot. Yet another affirmation that Redlight is one of the UK's foremost bass muisc hitmakers, this is exactly the kind of music that deserves a place in the Top 40 — and from the reaction we've seen it get on dancefloors across London already, it'd be silly if it didn't attain one.
