Tidal have announced a $1 million grant program aimed at helping emerging artists, called 'Tidal Unplugged'.
Funded by venture capital financiers Robert Nelsen and Mark Lampert, the program pilot will centre on Detroit, where local artists can submit their music as a form of applying for part of the grant money.
The money can be put towards expenses like studio hire and new equipment, and the finalists will record four songs which will be distributed with Tidal promotional support.
