Premiere: Liam Doc 'Intertwined'
Glasgow-based DJ and producer Liam Doc drops his second EP via his Eyeangle Records imprint. Listen to the intense atmospherics of break-heavy closer 'Intertwined' now
Liam Doc returns to his own Eyeangle Records later this month.
A resident at Glasgow’s beloved Sub Club, and more recently confirmed as a resident for the promoters at the forefront of Edinburgh’s electronic scene, FLY, Liam Doc has established himself as both a selector and a producer over the past few years.
Doc’s Eyeangle Records imprint has welcomed EPs from 95Bones, Chris Roux, Kamus and t e s t p r e s s, as well as his own ‘Family’ EP back in January, and has a charity release featuring Big Miz and Elliot Adamson slated for later this month.
In contrast to ‘Family’, an emotive three-tracker dripping in warm synth and acid lines, Doc’s upcoming release, ‘Sweet Ride M8’, is an intoxicating package of '90s jungle influences, broken beats and R&B sampling.
On EP closer ‘Intertwined’, Doc captures peak-time club atmospherics, blending unabated kick-drums, stuttered breaks and a rhythmic vocal chop for a hectic and heady trip.
'Sweet Ride M8' is out on the 23rd August. Pre-order the EP on Bandcamp and listen to 'Intertwined' below.
