The 'Laminated Cakes' album has spent six years unheard, but still remains compelling listening. Even though avowedly about the hedonism of that Olympic summer, it's actually about hedonism going out of control, the unhinging affects of too much too soon. 'Excellent Donut' is the single, but don't be fooled — this isn't Bake-off cosy. It's 'Drunken Bakers' RUFF.
