Mainstay in the bass/techno scene, Appleblim, steers a new direction with this debut release on his Pipped label. Released earlier in the year, 'Silencio' — the duo's slo-mo trip into the darker regions of the cosmic disco oeuvre — gets a refreshing overhaul from Scandisco hero, Prins Thomas. A tougher electronic boogie thickens up the original bassline and harder drums, and a tempo that's notched up makes for a sure-fire, heady dancefloor experience.
