DJ Mag's Notting Hill Carnival 'Heroes' party, in association with the West Side Story promotions team, is only a few days away — and there are still a few tickets left.
If, however, you're quite near London but feeling a bit skint because it is the end of the month – fear not. We've got two pairs of tickets to give away for Monday's festivities (August 25th 2014).
Darren Emerson heads up the line-up, with a top-notch cast of DJs also on the bill. D.Ramirez, Smokin' Jo (pictured above), Severino, Terry Farley, Hannah Holland & Mama, Ghetto Funk Allstars, Barry Ashworth, Guy Williams and Sophie Lloyd are just some of the jocks plying their Carnival-tastic wares, with DJ Mag's Adam Saville, Carl Loben, Joe Roberts and James Kenyon also dropping some tunes. It's gonna be off the hook!
With no Sancho Panza or Good Times soundsystems at Carnival this year, this bash at the Masons Arms on Harrow Road along the Carnival route is sure to be busier than ever. Tickets are available here
Bass-heavy funk specialists the Ghetto Funk Allstars have done us a special mix to get us in the Carnival spirit. Stuffed full of good times drum & bass, re-edits, bootlegs and dubwise breakbeat cuts, it's been getting us in the mood up at DJ Mag HQ. Hear it here:
