London-based producer and DJ, S.K.T is fast becoming the go-to name for major labels craving that underground credibility. Not that newly-signed iLL BLU require any more credibility, mind. Having produced Princess Nyah's much-championed UK funky cut, "Frontline" back in 2008, iLL BLU aka Darius and James, iLL BLU allow S.K.T to re-work their Island Records debut, "Blue Magic," almost entirely.
Available to buy on May 18, S.K.T infuses the hypnotic Max Marshall vocal into our psyche through his house-led remix that is remarkable in its seamless changes. From marching rhythm, through to the crescendo of high-pitched glossy tones for the shuffling souls and onto a calm appreciation for the sound that has just emanated from the speakers, this Blu Magic remix allows the dancefloor to take stock and regroup before beating a path to the incessant chorus once again.
