DJ Tiësto Gig Sells Out

Trance supremo Tiësto is still one of the world's biggest DJs - his upcoming gig at Brixton Academy has sold out.

Former number one DJ Tiësto's forthcoming gig at Brixton Academy on Friday 16 June has sold out.

The promoters of the London event were so impressed by the demand for the trance-a-thon, that they've organised a second gig for the following night, Saturday 17 June.

Tiësto cemented his reputation as one of the biggest DJs in the world in 2004, when he performed at the opening ceremony for the Olympic Games in Athens, watch by an estimated 4 billion people worldwide.

In contrast, Brixton's Carling Academy can only hold a mere 4000 clubbers, so it was almost guaranteed to be a sell out.

Tiësto has a 6 hour set planned for both nights, which will feature the Dutch DJ's trademark pumping trance alongside a massive laser, visual, and light show.

Up and coming trance DJs Progression are warming up for Tiësto on both dates.

The special one-off concerts were organised to coincide with Tiësto's latest mix compilation 'In Search Of Sunrise 5' which was released in April on Black Hole Recordings.
