What are you wearing right now?
“Ah, you caught me on my way to a new photo shoot, I’m looking typically German DJish today. I’m wearing some old black Helmut Lang wild leather trousers, which are my everyday every weather staple.
Love them. On my feet are my favourite wedge boots from the MM6 Martin Margiela collection in crocodile optic. Underneath I have a Rick Owens for men black wool cardigan and a Zoe Karsen t-shirt with the words 'Never Tear Us Apart', which is apt for my mood today — it is 7am, far too early to start the day, maybe to end the night it's okay but to start it's hard.”
How would you describe your style?
“For me, comfort is paramount with a touch of sexy boyish rock n' roll, and trying not to look like I tried but of course I do a little bit! It's part of my job after all.”
Describe an outfit you remember from as far back into your childhood as possible...
“I’m a child of the nineties and this techno plastic style inspired me a lot. I changed the plastic to leather now but I'm still loving these high wedge boots.”
Who is your favourite designer?
“Boris Bidjan and Julius from Hong Kong. They have great fabrics and super-cool looks and styles. I feel sexy and powerful. I find their clothes even on bad days boost my confidence. Yes, before you ask, clothes really can do this.”
What is your favourite boutique?
“In Berlin I can recommend Darklands a lot. It's a store for men with that special Berghain touch. Cold and dark but with a really friendly and personal touch. I love it, and always look forward to shopping there.”
What is your most treasured item of clothing or jewellery?
“I designed my jewellery myself with a local jeweller. My long-term favourite and one I still wear every day is my Mobilee logo ring, it's amazing in silver — all from my own drawings. Always digging the silver!”
What are you currently working on?
“As I mentioned earlier, I'm actually at a photo shoot for my new EP ‘Dubmission’ and for the campaign of our bi-weekly daytime Mobilee pool parties in Ibiza this season at Hotel Santos. Can't wait to see you there.”
